Spiral Users' Meeting 2011
SUM 2011 was a great success, attended by 84 delegates representing 36 companies from around the world. Thank you to all the attendees and especially to those who presented papers.
The week commenced with training sessions in Spiral’s assay tools, where two full classes covered all aspects of the functionality and common workflows. Apologies to those who were unable to book places due to the demand.
Throughout the week, delegates attended over 30 presentations covering every area of Spiral’s tools and their applications across the industry. In addition to plenary sessions, the meeting was divided in to three tracks, which reflect Spiral’s offering to the industry: Supply Chain and Optimisation, Business Applications of Crude Assay Management and finally, Managing Crude Quality Data.
A broad range of client papers laid out successful applications of the Spiral tools and shared best practice. In parallel, talks by Spiral consultants and developers showcased new features as well as laying out Spiral’s development roadmap.
Several social events provided opportunities for networking, including a welcome reception, a group dinner and an afternoon of tours around famous Dublin sights. Thankfully, the weather was fantastic and those delegates who chose the countryside tour, in particular, were treated to some spectacular views of the Wicklow Mountains.
Attendees can sign in to the delegates’ area using the details that have been provided. Here, a gallery of photos from the SUM can be found, together with PDFs of the papers. If you have not received these details, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have already started organising SUM 2012 and we hope to make it even better! Details coming soon.
